Dave Johnstone

Dave has 57 years of canoeing and camping, including a foray into winter camping. Over the years he has seen 85, or so, canoes come through this hands. This has given him thorough knowledge of designs and layups. Most people don't realize that canoes are similar to golf clubs in that there is a canoe for a specific job. Dave currently have five canoes on hand and the workhorse of that fleet is his 16' Prospector, from Nova Craft Canoes. Just two years ago Dave travelled on the French River under a tornado warning with this canoe indicating his trust in this canoe. Dave is an advocate for wearing PFD's and knowing both his limits as well as what changes there may be in water levels.
